KOOL PAK°'s growth from a small regional carrier to an industry-leading transportation services provider comes from continuous improvement of our services and dedication to superior client service.

Starting in 1968, KOOL PAK° served primarily local customers, offering refrigerated LTL services throughout the Northwest. In 1987, Ness Holding Company acquired and currently holds majority interest in KOOL PAK° LLC, along with partners Wade Palmer, Chief Financial Officer, and G Geary, Senior Vice President, Operations.

California Trucking, Washington LTL

In 1994, Ness Holding Company purchased a regional refrigerated truckload carrier to merge with KOOL PAK°, adding capacity to and from California. In 2005, KOOL PAK° acquired a regional Seattle-based LTL carrier to establish a facility in Kent, Washington and better serve the entire West Coast.

In January 2012, KOOL PAK° acquired British Columbia-based carrier Polar Express Transportation, LTD., to expand regularly scheduled delivery services into and throughout Canada. This move expands the transportation, warehousing and delivery of temperature-controlled LTL shipments throughout Canada and the U.S.

In July 2012, KOOL PAK° opened its terminal operation in the southern California hub of Ontario. This new facility positions KOOL PAK° in closer proximity to its California customers and consignees, further enhancing the scope, flexibility and responsiveness of their refrigerated transportation services in the U.S. and Canada.

Dual-temp trailers, superior service and more

As we continue to expand our geographic reach, we are adding capacity and offering additional services. Today KOOL PAK° has over 90 power units and 120 trailers--most of which are dual temp-providing superior service in four business segments:

• Redistribution refrigerated services throughout Oregon, Washington, California and British Columbia, with a daily schedule to all major consignees
• Regional over-the-road (OTR), less than truckload (LTL), and full truckload (FTL) refrigerated service to and from Arizona, California, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Washington and throughout Canada
• Transcontinental, less than truckload (LTL) refrigerated service to forty-eight states and Canada
• Comprehensive logistics services to Northwest-based shippers
