Kool Pak’s growth from a small regional carrier to an industry-leading transportation services provider came about from continuous improvement of our services and dedication to superior client service.
Starting in 1968, Kool Pak served primarily local customers, offering refrigerated LTL services throughout the Northwest. In 1987, Ness Holding Company acquired and currently holds majority interest in Kool Pak LLC, along with partners Wade Palmer, Chief Financial Officer, and G Geary, Senior Vice President, Operations.
In 1994, Ness Holding Company purchased a regional refrigerated truckload carrier to merge with Kool Pak, adding capacity to and from California. In 2005, Kool Pak acquired a regional Seattle-based LTL carrier to establish a facility in Washington and better serve the entire West Coast.
Building on plans to expand our geographic reach, we continue to add more capacity and offer additional services. Today Kool Pak has over 80 power units and 120 dual-temp trailers, providing superior service in four business segments:
